Sudha
Devulapalli began her training
in Bharatanatyam and Kathak
in Jamshedpur, Bihar during
her school years and completed
her Arangetram under Smt.
Sumati Kaushal.
During
her stay in Madras, she
was also fortunate to receive
further tutoring from Padmashri
Kalaimani Adayar K. Lakshman.
Since 1987 Sudha has been
receiving advanced training
in dance technique, teaching
methodology and choreography
under Dr. K.Uma Rama Rao
of Hyderabad.
She
has received diplomas in
both fields of dance from
Prayag University in Allahabad.
Though she is academically
qualified in Education and
Computer Science, she has
chosen to pursue a career
in teaching Indian classical
dance.
Sudha
performed in India and abroad
before settling down to
teaching in New Jersey since
1989. She has had the opportunity
to choreograph several beautiful
dance dramas such as “Padmavathi
Kalyanam” for TANA, “Meera
Ke Giridhar” ,“Four Seasons”
,“Shyam Sudha Ras” ,“Bharat
Kal Aaj aur Kal” , “Rati
Vilapam” and an opening
welcome dance for TANA and
RAMAYANA in Bridgewater
temple.
Sudha
has started a Dance school
called “Kalanjali school
of Dance “and has more than
one hundred and twenty five
students.
